Richard Pigossi, Founder & Chairman
Richard Pigossi is a corporate finance specialist and pioneer in Asian private equity with 45 years of global professional experience. Now based in the US, he lived and worked in Southeast Asia from 1973 to 2007 with the World Bank, Private Development Finance Company of Indonesia, Private Investment Company for Asia, Elders Finance Group and Asian Oceanic Group before founding Pegasus Capital in 1991. Mr Pigossi has served on the boards of more than 30 manufacturing, food, banking, securities and energy services companies in seven Asian countries and has been an adviser to India's ITC Group, Salomon Brothers, Deloitte Corporate Finance, EMP Global, Darby Asia and Acadian Asset Management. He co-founded two of Asia's first private equity funds, Singapore-based Elders Pica Asian Ventures and AOG Mitra Capital Finance in Indonesia. He currently is on the Board of Advisors of the CLMV Opportunities Fund, investing in Indochina, and is active in early-stage venture financing in the US. Mr Pigossi is an electrical engineering graduate of Pennsylvania State University and has a master's degree from the Sloan School at MIT, where he also studied nuclear engineering under an Atomic Energy Commission Fellowship.
Teresa Lim, Managing Director
Teresa Lim manages Pegasus Capital in Singapore and is a specialist in direct equity investment, corporate mergers and acquisitions and project financing with more than 30 years of professional experience encompassing credit and investment evaluation/structuring, portfolio management, loan syndications, capital markets, treasury operations, cross-border M&A and business and financial advisory. Previously with the Private Investment Company for Asia, Elders Finance Group, Inter-Pacific Capital Pte Ltd and Scotts Holdings Limited, Ms Lim has been involved in a wide range of equity and debt transactions in Asia-Pacific region. She has mentored and nurtured several business start-ups and provided financial and management advisory services to small and medium sized companies. Ms Lim has extensive network of contacts in the regional corporate, financial and professional sectors and has served on the boards of companies in Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. She holds an MBA from the University of Dubuque.
Seiichi Nakaoda, Director
Seiichi Nakaoda is Group Managing Partner of NAC Global and concurrently Managing Director of the Asia M&A Center Limited in Hong Kong. Mr. Nakaoda opened his first accounting firm in Hong Kong in 1999 and in the subsequent years expanded the business into Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Macau, Vietnam and Singapore, creating what is now NAC Global, a diversified accounting and business advisory group with a local presence in 10 Asian countries. In earlier years, Mr. Nakaoda worked as an auditor for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Sanwa Bank (now Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.) in Japan. He is an economics graduate from Kyushu University and a CPA.
Louis Chin, Director
Louis Chin specializes in mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. He is concurrently Chief M&A Advisor at Asia M&A Center Limited in Hong Kong and a director of PT NAC Global Jakarta and NAC GFS (Asia) Co., Ltd, which helps Japanese companies expand into emerging Asian markets. Prior to joining NAC Global, Hong Kong-based Mr Chin held positions in derivatives trading at HSBC in Singapore, corporate banking at Mizuho Corporate Bank in Malaysia and ICT M&A business development at Transcosmos in Hong Kong. An economics graduate from Yokohama National University in Japan, Mr. Chin speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Japanese and Malay.
Masao Yamashika, Chief Operating Officer
Masao Yamashika has transactional and managerial experience in investment banking, direct equity investment, tax and corporate advisory and financial and human resource management. Prior to founding Avic Corporation Pte Ltd (now Avic NAC), Mr Yamashika worked as tax principal for Pannell Kerr Forster Singapore, a member of the global accountancy network PKF International. He earlier worked for Chor Pee Co/Kelvin Chia Partnership, a regional law firm, and Yoshikawa Chemicals Pte Ltd in Singapore, Private Investment Company for Asia in Tokyo, Manila, Singapore and Jakarta and Mellon Bank NA in Tokyo and Pittsburgh. Mr Yamashika is a CPA, holds Dip. Inv., MMS and LLB degrees and is an accredited tax advisor and insolvency practitioner.
Jeffrey Chi, Adviser
Shanghai-based Jeffrey Chi is an adviser to Pegasus Capital and collaborates with the firm on selected client engagements. He is Vice Chairman – Investments of the Vickers Financial Group and is a partner in one of the Group’s private equity funds. Dr. Chi’s experience covers a variety of industries including information technology, healthcare and media. He was a corporate finance specialist and Executive Director of Pegasus Capital from 2002 to 2005. Earlier, he was a senior consultant with the Monitor Group, the strategy consulting firm co-founded by business guru Michael Porter, and led a Singapore-based engineering and construction group as managing director into the Enterprise 50, a ranking of the nation’s top privately held enterprises. Dr Chi is a CFA Charterholder and holds a 1st class honours degree in Engineering from Cambridge University and a PhD from MIT in organizational knowledge and information technology.
